• Financial information: Transaction history, inflow and outflow data, and related financial information you input

• Photo data: Images of cheques you capture using the app's camera feature

• Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers

• Usage data: How you interact with the app, features you use (dashboard, search, etc.), and performance metrics

• Camera permissions: Access to your device camera for capturing cheque photos (only when you use this feature)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide core ChequeMate services: Create, update, view, and delete cheque information; manage issued and received cheques

• Dashboard functionality: Display glanceable information including cheques due soon, financial inflow/outflow data, overdue cheque alerts, and recent activity

• Photo management: Store and display cheque photos you capture for reference and record-keeping

• Smart notifications: Deliver reminders about cheque due dates, overdue cheques, and important alerts

• Parties management: Maintain your list of parties (payees/payers) associated with cheques

• Search functionality: Enable you to search through your cheque records and parties

• Improve app functionality: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience

• Provide customer support: Respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and assist with app usage

• Ensure security: Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other security threats

• Comply with legal obligations: Meet regulatory requirements and respond to legal requests

Your financial data security is our highest priority:

• Secure storage: Your data (including cheque information, photos, and financial data) is stored in secure, encrypted databases within UAE data centers

• Photo security: Cheque photos are stored securely with the same encryption standards as other financial data

• Access controls: Only authorized personnel with strict security clearance can access your data

• Bank-grade security: We implement financial-grade security measures to protect your cheque and financial information

• No data sharing: We never sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes

4. Cloud Sync and Data Backup

ChequeMate offers cloud synchronization to keep your data safe and accessible:

• Automatic backup: Your cheque data, photos, and parties information are automatically backed up to secure cloud storage

• Cross-device access: Access your cheque information, photos, and parties from multiple devices when logged in

• Data recovery: Your data (including photos) can be restored if you lose access to your device

• Sync encryption: All synced data, including photos, is encrypted both in transit and at rest

• You control sync: You can enable or disable cloud sync in your app settings

5. Third-Party Services

ChequeMate may integrate with third-party services to enhance functionality:

• Payment processors: For in-app purchases or premium subscriptions (if applicable)

• Analytics services: To understand app usage and improve performance (anonymized data only)

• Notification services: To deliver push notifications and reminders

• Cloud storage providers: For secure data backup and synchronization

• All third-party providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements
